Forst

Small but nice

Forst is the smallest municipality belonging to Strimmiger Berg and lies on a hill above the Mörsdorfer Bach stream. The community was first mentioned in writing in 1237. As a farm settlement in the Middle Ages, Forst belonged to the archdiocese and electorate of Trier. The small chapel of St. John of Nepomuk was built around 1747 and last renovated in 2002. Old paintings were uncovered and restored to their original state so that the chapel now shines in new splendour.

In the picture there is meadow on the left and right and in the background is the village of Forst.
