Liesenich

Hunsrück distant views on dreamlike hikes

Liesenich is a small village in Hunsrück and together with Altstrimmig, Mittelstrimmig and Forst forms the "Strimmiger Berg". It is located in the middle of extensive forest and meadow areas and is an ideal starting point for small and large hiking tours. In addition to numerous local circular trails, Liesenich is also one of the three starting points for the excellent "Layensteig Strimmiger-Berg" dream loop.

The 13.8-kilometre circular trail, certified by the German Hiking Institute, impresses with its winding paths and natural stream valleys. Three challenging climbing routes, which can also be bypassed on wide trails, lead to breathtaking vantage points. The church in Liesenich was built around 1482 and is thus considered one of the oldest churches on the "Strimmiger Berg". The attractive village park is a popular meeting place for locals and guests, with a water-treading pool, tennis court, badminton court and boules court.
