The Ruhr area artist tells stories of one-night stands among mayflies and the missing boa on Noah's Ark. He finds parallels between the Basic Law and currywurst, a gender asterisk in every alphabet soup, and often finds comedy in everyday life - it's no wonder when, for instance, a mother suspiciously urges her child at the supermarket checkout to put back the candy: "Put it back where it was!"

In his program “Kommt!” the mischievous and language-loving musical cabaret artist, who has often been compared to Heinz Erhardt as a poet and to Ulrich Roski as a musical storyteller, consistently mixes tried-and-true classics with new ideas and also delivers a poem or two from his book “Komischer Poet – Sprachspielschäden aus fünf Dekäden.”

For over 30 years, Christian Hirdes has been active as a musical cabaret artist and self-proclaimed “comic poet” on cabaret and comedy stages, winning prestigious cabaret awards such as the “Prix Pantheon,” “Tegtmeiers Erben,” and the “St. Ingberter Pfanne,” and captivating audiences on TV, among others with his stories about “Lisa and her four Chinese friends Li, Si, Tsi, and Tsu.”
