The Gothic former town hall from 1548 with the massive stair tower was used as a school for decades.
Notches on the door frames indicate this. In an inscription above the tower entrance it says in Moselle Franconian: "Fred in disem Huis, wers nit hält bleibt druis"
(Peace in this house - whoever does not uphold it, stays out!)
