The Castle Museum provides an insight into the history of the Middle Moselle through historical representations. Noteworthy is the only collection of all graphics of the Moselle river published about 200 years ago. They depict typical buildings of individual Moselle towns. Portraits of the Electoral Princes of Trier and old printed materials from the defunct Electorate bear witness to a once glorious time and give the museum, alongside armor and weapons, its character..
It also houses a memorial for the former Federal President Dr. Heinrich Lübke, featuring guest gifts and personal memorabilia from around the world. This represents a special treasure trove for enthusiasts of contemporary history. The centerpiece is a tapestry from the possession of Madame Pompadour, which was gifted to Heinrich Lübke by the President of France.
