Lourdesgrotte

Past the parish church, on a farm road towards Hesweiler, one reaches the Lourdes grotto.

On June 3, 1974 (Whit Monday), the grotto was ceremonially consecrated with a procession of lights.
The statue of the "Madonna of Lourdes" was originally located at the parish church.
Every year, the "Lourdes Grotto" is the destination of the Corpus Christi procession.
The path to the grotto was equipped with 14 Stations of the Cross. These are bronze plaques mounted on basalt columns. The consecration of the Stations of the Cross took place on November 19, 1978.
