Catholic parish church "St. Philipus u. Jakobus" in Mittelstrimmig The oldest church making dates from the time in front of 1220. It has to be assumed that a Gothic new building was carried out in the 15th century. Due to the decrepitude of the church 1768/69 becomes a new building, carried out according to Paul Staehling's plans.
The parish church has a valuable interior for a rural church, suggesting generous donors and economic welfare of the community in the 18th century. The artists and craftsmen involved in the redesign mostly came from the vicinity of the Kurfürstliche court in Koblenz or were significantly influenced by them. This also explains the high quality of the completed works. Particularly noteworthy are both side altars with the altar paintings by the Koblenz Baroque painter Januarius Zick: "Adoration of the Shepherds" and "Crucifixion". The church features an originally preserved organ loft from the organ builder family Senf.
Since September 2011, it is one of the 10 parishes in the parish community "Zeller Hamm".
