COUSCOUS AND SECRETS is a culinary feel-good comedy with a lot of heart: spirited, charming, and very French!

The young Algerian chef Mehdi (Younès Boucif) leads a double life – not as exciting as an agent, but certainly not without stress: during the day, he works as a cook in a bistro together with his partner Léa (Clara Bretheau), while in the evenings he plays the perfect son in front of his Algerian mother Fatima (Malika Zerrouki) and hides not only his relationship with Léa from her but also his passion for French cooking culture. At first, it seems to work out, but Mehdi has made his plans without Léa, who eventually wants to meet his mother. Mehdi desperately searches for a solution, only to create even more chaos...
