Leave Brauneberg via the Nußbaumallee and past the Simultankirche church and continue along the former Moselle railway line to Mülheim. From here the hiking trail leads along a beautiful brook valley to Veldenz, where you can discover traces of the Romans in the Villa Romana.  The hiking trail continues below the wooded mountain slope along a beautiful forest and meadow path to Burgen. Over one of the many Frohnbach valley bridges you leave the village and reach the Burgener Flur with a wonderful view of the Moselle valley and the Hunsrück heights.
