Family-friendly walking and hiking trail on paved paths. Views & distant vistas of the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park and the Moselle valley accompany you along the way.

On the Osburg Panorama Trail you walk on paved paths with few inclines around the local community. The family-friendly trail mostly leads across open fields, which always offers new views and distant vistas of the immediate and wider surroundings.

Over 7.6 km, the trail leads past the Osburger Kapellchen and the Seeblick. On the way, you will receive information on the landscape and its use at individual prominent points. Panoramic panels explain the far-reaching views of the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park and the Moselle valley.

A signposted shortcut at the junction at the little chapel to the lake view (at km 1.5) is the low barrier version of the trail and is suitable for families with prams or wheelchair users.

The realisation of the trail was supported by the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park with funds from the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.

Directions

From the sports field, walk along the Thielenbach valley on the ridge to the resting point with panorama board. On this board, which was realised as part of the project Panoramablicke im Naturpark Saar-Hunsrück, you will learn interesting facts about the nearby Riveristalsperre.
