Does the Zeller Land region have Germany’s most beautiful hiking trail?
This year, we have been nominated in the ‘Day Trip’ category for our beautiful ‘Traumschleife Altlayer Schweiz’ trail. The vote is organised annually by the renowned specialist magazine ‘Wandermagazin’.
A jury has selected us for the final round of the top ten. The winners will now be decided by a public vote until 30 June 2026.
We therefore ask for your active support and would be delighted to receive your vote!

How to enter:
Vote for our “Altlayer Schweiz” hiking trail at https://wandermagazin.de/wahlstudio and email the confirmation to a.richter@zellerland.de, or fill in a ballot paper in person at the Zell (Mosel) Tourist Information Centre (Balduinstraße 44).
The route through the "Altlayer Schweiz" is characterised by jagged, rugged slate cliffs, impressive rock sections and winding forest paths. Idyllic, seemingly untouched stream valleys and exceptional panoramic views are further highlights of this half-day tour through the extensive woodlands of the Hunsrück around Altlay.
