The Burghof Hagen in the Zeller district of Merl is something truly special: Built in 1442, the winegrower's court is one of the oldest along the Moselle. On November 30, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM, it will be the venue for a Tiny Christmas Market. The scent of freshly roasted almonds wafts through the old courtyard, fine little stollen and fruit cakes, white winemaker's mulled wine and wild boar sausages, along with all sorts of handicrafts and trinkets awaiting the guests. Claudia and Toni are even opening the medieval hall for an exhibition of Moselle photographs and watercolors. Admission is free.
Starting at 7:00 PM, we will then celebrate "Advent in the Burghof" – the 580-year-old festively decorated vault cellar will serve as the backdrop for a few cozy hours filled with Christmas stories and poems. Those who wish can sing Christmas carols with us along to the guitar, with a small booklet provided. A hearty winemaker's soup, wine from our own vineyards, and winemaker's mulled wine ensure a cozy and warm feeling. Admission is free.
