The spirited Heidi lives with her grumpy grandfather Alm-Öhi in a secluded mountain hut in the Swiss Alps. Heidi is on vacation and longs to visit her friend Clara during her holiday at the Baltic Sea. However, the discovery of a lonely and injured lynx kitten changes her plans: the lynx cub must urgently return to the mountains to its family! Without her grandfather's knowledge, Heidi lovingly cares for her new little friend. If only it weren't for the greedy businessman Schnaittinger, who wants to build a large sawmill in the beautiful mountain landscape and has set traps for the lynxes. Now it is up to Heidi and her best friend Peter to save not only the sweet lynx cub and its family but also the local community and the native nature that she loves so much.
