A hike around the entire Reil village area
Circular route via the Marienkapelle on the Reiler Hals over the Hindenburghöhe and the motocross race track back to the village.
Starting from the Reil Mosel bridge, this path leads through the northern village area over paved and gravel forest roads to the "Reiler Hals". (Moselsteig shelter and Marienkapelle) Here you will find an impressive panorama of the Moselle valley. Then along the district road K63 and further uphill over field paths. Over a steep footpath, you reach the so-called "Hindenburghöhe" with a small shelter and resting possibility. Further along the path along the forest boundary above the extensive vineyards, there are various viewing opportunities across the Reil region. Above the motocross race track, the path leads to the Burgerbach and along the stream back through the Reil vineyards to the starting point.
The route is marked as R6 on the village hiking map.
Watch out for car traffic when crossing the district road!
Sturdy footwear recommended
Don't forget your camera. Great panorama on the Reiler Hals.
There is no opportunity to stop for refreshments outside the village.
