Welcome to the beautiful Mosel Valley: The elves Elli and Edgar welcome you on this short hike and take you on an exploratory trip through their fairy tale forest.

Discover on this 3.2 km short hike roots, trees, and rock formations that inspire your imagination and invite you to explore and discover. You can thus encounter the beautiful regional rock landscape in a particularly imaginative way.

The 21 stations provide variety and encourage young and old to curiosity, joy of discovery, and playing with nature and with each other. You will also learn interesting facts about the natural world and wildlife in a 24-page accompanying brochure (Download brochure). It is also available at the tourist information office.

Whether it is searching for specific figures, stacking your own "wild stones," or looking for wooden animals hidden in the forest. Tracking these down, putting them in the correct order, and converting them into a solution word with the help of the brochure is also a task for you. Those who guess the correct solution word at the end can look forward to a small surprise.

The 3.2 km long "Elfenpfad" is located outside Traben-Trarbach, in the Bad Wildstein district.

General information

Directions

From the parking lot, take a short uphill walk on foot; just before reaching the main entrance of the spa, turn left onto a small path. At the next intersection, go left down a small hill and then follow this path steadily uphill for quite a while. After about 1 km, follow the signs to the left towards Wildstein. After Wildstein, continue following the path; it goes a bit steeply downhill through some switchbacks. After the switchbacks, turn left and follow the path for about 1 km. Here you will now find most of the "elf figures," which invite imaginative searching. The path then meets the outgoing route again, which leads comfortably back to the spa parking lot.
