For your own safety and to protect the flora and fauna, please always stay on the marked paths. The hiking trail has partly steep, difficult, and slippery sections when it is rainy or winter weather. Therefore, surefootedness and good physical condition are absolute prerequisites.

NOTE:

We strive to announce all closures caused by forestry work or hunting societies on this platform. Nevertheless, there are situations where hiking trails are closed and we might not have been informed. If you unexpectedly encounter a trail closure or diversion, please follow the instructions for your own safety.

Danger situations:

In an emergency, quick help is needed. And even though mobile phones can send GPS signals, classic rescue points are often the fastest. These are located at places easily accessible to rescue vehicles. Remember the points marked with green signs and a white cross. In an emergency, return there and provide the number on the sign during your emergency call. This way, rescue teams will know where to find you.

- Sturdy and comfortable footwear.

- Clothing adapted to the weather, if necessary in multiple layers.

- Backpack with provisions: enough to drink and, if necessary, food, as there are not always dining or shopping options available or open.

- Depending on the weather, sun or rain protection, as well as mosquito/tick protection.

Above Oberfell, there are magnificent views of the Mosel and further uphill wonderful panoramic views into the Vordereifel.

Free parking available at the St. Nikolaus daycare center or the gravel car park in Schulstraße in Oberfell.

Accessible by bus - sustainably on the move with public transport.

Route 31 (Koblenz – Burgen), several times daily

Bus stop: Get off at Oberfell Mitte/Main Street.
