A tour from the Moselle in Zeltingen-Rachtig to the panoramic footbridge at the Hochmosel Bridge. It first passes through the Moselle village of Zeltingen-Rachtig, then through the vineyards above the village.
The Upper Moselle Bridge in the Bernkastel-Kues vacation region is one of the largest and longest bridges in Europe. An impressive structure, it connects the Eifel and Hunsrück low mountain ranges, and its striking silhouette dominates the landscape even from a great distance. The nearest town is the Moselle community of Zeltingen-Rachtig. From there, you can reach the panoramic footbridge after a roughly 20-minute bike ride through the picturesque vineyards. From here, an impressive view of the majestic bridge and the Moselle Valley unfolds before you.
From the starting point in Zeltingen, the trail first climbs steeply through the village. The vineyards of Zeltingen are the next destination. The trail climbs gently—heading downstream along the Moselle—until it reaches the panoramic footbridge.
