Located on the banks of the Moselle
The Briedel water treading facility is a water treading place for the so-called hydrotherapy.
During "kneipping," one treads in cold water. The feet are completely lifted out of the water between each step. After 30 seconds, or earlier if you feel a strong sensation of cold in your feet and legs, you should leave the kneipp basin and warm your feet and legs again. This process is repeated regularly.
It is particularly important during and after kneipping to get enough movement to warm the muscles.
Due to the cold water, kneipping stimulates the body's circulation and promotes blood flow. It is said to help against varicose veins and strengthen the body's natural defenses.
