Kirche "Maria Heimsuchung" in Löffelscheid

Kath. Church “Maria Visitation”
The solemn inauguration of the new branch church in Löffelscheid, “Maria Visitation”, took place on 5. It was held on 1 July 1964. Patroness is the Mother of God (Maria Visitation), second Patroness is St. Santa Claus. The church is a round structure, two cones have been pushed into each other. The high-rise wall symbolizes the other world, the heavenly Jerusalem with the ancient altarpiece of St. Trinity, the Mother of God and the Saints and Christ in the Tabernacle. The smaller cone “bears” the salvation – the Eucharist – altar – confessional chapel – baptismal chapel. The ceiling of the church encloses one like the protective mantle of the Mother of God. The benches of the church are semi-circular around the altar. The altar is a simple table made of red sandstone. The tower is not directly attached to the church and has an altitude of 28 meters.
