Since the 17. Our family has been dedicated to viticulture since the nineteenth century. In the early days, the winegrowers on the Moselle were self-sufficient. Almost everything that was needed in daily life was produced with one's own hands, wine still played a subordinate role at that time. At that time, it was only used to raise cash, for everything that could only be purchased at that time. This situation changed abruptly when my father Peter Lehmen Senior took over the business from his father in 1956. Thanks to his well-founded training at the Bullay School of Viticulture and the advancing technical development, it was now possible to produce Riesling from the grape to the bottle himself. I, also Peter Lehmen - the "junior", continued my father's work seamlessly with new ideas. By consistently working on the quality of our Riesling wines, we have received numerous awards and honors in recent years. That is why I am very happy that my son Nikolas has joined the company one year ago. Thus we can lead and develop the enterprise by his knowledge over modern technologies, new realizations in the wine chemistry and I by my over 30 years of professional experience together.
