Themenstadtführung Zell (Mosel)

Hello, I'm Claudio, the train driver - well, actually I'm Claudia and not a train driver, but your guide through the beautiful town of Zell an der Mosel. That's because I was hired as an engine driver in 1904, when the legendary “Saufbähnchen” from Bullay to Trier started its journey. I love steam locomotives and, as a Rhinelander, I found it so beautiful on the Moselle - the wine is good and the people are cheerful and friendly. Almost like home. The only thing they didn't want was a woman as a train driver. On the very first day, they got wise to me and simply put me on the road - not on the rails. I just stayed on and have been guiding guests through the lovely little town of Zell ever since. The Moselle train has long since ceased to exist, but I will probably continue to tell its story and the story of Zell as Claudio the engine driver forever.
