Cycling Together for Europe: 280 km, 8 Stages, 2 Countries
From September 18 to 25, 2025, the Moselle will become a vibrant artery of Europe: The cycling tour “open.mosel” connects strong symbols of cross-border encounters, sustainable mobility, and cultural diversity in eight stages over approximately 280 kilometers and through two countries. Under the motto “Cycling for Europe. Celebrating what connects us,” the tour is part of the thematic year “Moselle without borders” of the regional initiative “Fascination Moselle” and the 40th anniversary of the Schengen Agreement.
Stations
The route takes participants on their way from Koblenz to Schengen through picturesque landscapes, typical Moselle villages, and cultural hotspots. The journey to the next location takes place daily at 1 PM; concerts will occur in the early evening.
More than a cycling tour – a moving European stage
Musical accompaniment for open.mosel will be provided by the pop artist BÄR from Heidelberg. With his mix of heartfelt lyrics, modern beats, and catchy melodies, he bridges the gap between indie pop and singer-songwriter tradition. His songs focus on freedom, connection, and the courage to pursue new paths – messages that perfectly align with the European idea of open.mosel.
