Nadine (Anneke Kim Sarnau) is determined to remain young, firm, and attractive even at 50. However, when her husband Philipp (Godehard Giese) turns to a prostitute, she plunges into a deep life crisis. What does the other woman have that she doesn't? Meanwhile, her daughter Lilly (Emilia Packard) is occupied with her teacher Vicky's (Nora Tschirner) lectures on the invisibility of women in history and wonders if she can even say what she doesn't want – for instance, to her boyfriend Enno (Levy Rico Arcos). He is taking a course on "toxic masculinity" during project days, led by Vicky's new colleague Trevor (Malick Bauer), who quickly captures her interest. But actually, Vicky misses her partner Franz, who has retreated to the mountains for an indefinite period, as she is no longer sure whether isolated togetherness is the right life model for her. Julie (Emilia Schüle) also feels isolation in her new job as a production manager for a TV show. Dealing with an overbearing colleague intensifies her self-doubts: Is she really too difficult, too sensitive, too loud? Yet even when she raises her voice, no one really wants to listen. Listening is also difficult for Sonja (Karoline Herfurth) and Milan (Friedrich Mücke), who have since separated. In family therapy, they try to find a common language, but when Sonja learns about Milan's new partner, it hits her hard. Afraid of being left alone, she ventures into dating herself – and realizes she's looking for something entirely different.
