On the approximately 5 km long adventure hike, you can discover native flora and fauna, rare and unknown wild fruits, artistic elements, and much more. Numerous benches and sensory loungers invite you again and again to linger and enjoy the unique panorama high above Fell. It is worth coming back, as many more attractions are planned. Currently, the starting point is given as the Winzerkeller in Fell, as there are sufficient parking spaces available there. Until spring 2024, the parking lot at the start-finish portal will also be available for hikers.

The planners --- Feller Maximiner Wein e.V. --- of the Moselsteig side trail "Stein & Wein Panorama-Erlebnisweg Fell" have integrated numerous exciting and innovative experiential stations with diverse thematic focuses along the route, so that one can often experience a unique "aha" effect with wide, astonished eyes.

In general, in addition to wonderful panoramic views, artistically and creatively high-quality stations and works were created in the flora and fauna.

Here is a small list of the implemented ideas:

- Wild fruit (planting and labeling of about 70, partly rare wild fruit varieties)

- Orchard meadow (creation and labeling)

- Bat forest (detailed description of all native bat species, hanging of summer quarters, slate art with painted bats)

- Willows (planting, description, and importance)

- Construction and maintenance of a bee observation box, an insect hotel, hanging of nest boxes

- Planting of a small vineyard with Piwi grape varieties

- Creation of a lavender field

- Experience path with animal tracks to the Maria-Hilf chapel and back

- Construction of a lounge below the fountain square

- Installation of the smallest corkscrew in the world

- Building of sensory loungers and benches made of oak wood and gabions with slate

- Restoration of an old fountain

- Exposure and maintenance of almost 5 kilometers of dry stone walls

- Slate guestbook

- Manufacture and installation of the largest corkscrew in the world

- Erection of a book tree from an oak trunk

- Indication of the old district names with signs

- Welcome signs made of slate in various languages

- Sayings and farmer's rules

- Sculptures made of oak wood

- Painted artworks along the route on the slate walls

- Installation of a wishing tree

- Projects with young people (design of a wall section with a railing as a confirmation project)

- Erection of oversized signposts indicating worldwide wine metropolises

- Sound elements and sound games

and much more...!

The offer is rounded off with a wine tavern on Sundays and in good weather at the "Rock"!

Impressions

General information

Directions

Along the entire length of the path, you will find slate dry stone walls decorated with loving artworks.

With a little attention, you can observe the lizard sunbathing in the cracks of the walls. In addition to hare, roe deer, pheasant and partridge, you can watch the honeybee at work. At four locations, signposts of the different wine regions of the world have been set up.

Occasionally, you can watch the winemaker managing his steep slope vineyards. Along the entire hiking trail, benches and two sensory loungers have been set up, from which you can enjoy the valley view over the village. A little away from the path, on a small plateau, a lounge has been set up where you should calmly enjoy one or the other bottle of wine, and a cooling option for the good drop has also been considered.

Equipment

Sturdy footwear.
